Career Manifesto:
His Work / My motive at work will be: I will focus on having a God-centered
workday. I will do this by surrendering the day to Him as well as starting
the morning off by spending time in God's word, praying and listening to
Him. My motive to surrender daily to God is to obtain success in Christ
with fulfillment and balance in doing the best I can and having the joy of
being rightly connected to God. I will perform my work as 'Christ-like' by
focusing on Him and by gratifying Jesus Christ moment by moment. I must
yield to Him by doing my job and His will from the heart.
'Whatever good thing each one does, this he will
receive back from the Lord.' Ephesians 6:5-8
His way / your work style:
God would have me demonstrate servant leadership
in my office / work place through the mindset, lifestyle and confidence.
Servant leadership would also be demonstrated through integrity: a
progressive yielding of my will to God's in the areas of attitude, action,
and relationships. I will avoid compromise by deciding ahead of time to
commit to do the right thing.
'Oh Lord, who may abide in Your tent? Who may
dwell on your holy hill? He who walks with integrity,
and works righteously, and speaks with truth in his heart..' Psalms 15:1-5
His results / Your outlook:
God is the one in control. He is the one who
deserves the praise. Praise is given when you have an attitude of
gratitude. God's plan for us is a Christ-like character. As a sincere
learner, I will ask what I can learn from any given situation by asking
questions and praying over difficult circumstances. Expect that every
element in our day will provide an opportunity to honor Him. His results
are accomplished by having an attitude of expectancy.
'For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works,
which God prepared in advance for us to do.' Ephesians 2:10
'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper
you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and future. Then you call
upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me
and find me when you seek me with all your heart.' Jeremiah 29:11-13
